Beyond Wound Healing

Skin aging can be thought of as a form of wounding, in which stem cells no longer maintain normal skin thickness, strength, function, and hair density. Understanding the mechanism of action of dermal fibroblast exosomes for scarless wound healing will provide key insights into regenerating aged skin, a process termed rejuvenation.

Dermal Fibroblasts Exosomes produce and organize extra cellular matrix of the dermis. They also communicate with each other and other cell types. Fibroblasts play a crucial role in regulating skin physiology and cutaneous wound repair.

Scarless Wound Healing

While any dermal wound in an adult human, even if treated, will result in scarring, the 'holy grail' of wound healing is 'scarless wound healing': wound repair via the regeneration of functional, native tissue. Unfortunately, there are few truly effective therapies that hasten healing while reducing scar burden.

In the setting of skin injury, wound healing occurs in three overlapping stages: inflammation, proliferation and remodeling. Fibroblasts are critical in all three phases, playing a key role in the deposition of extracellular matrix components, wound contraction and remodeling collagen fibers.

Directions: Apply a small amount Fibroblast Wound Serum to the face, neck and décolleté, or treated area, both morning and night after cleansing skin. Allow the serum to dry and permeate the skin then follow up with a sunscreen during the day. A light tingling sensation may occur, but this usually disappears after 1-2 minutes. An initial increases of skin redness may occur which dissipates after a few minutes.

Ingredients: Water, Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media, Human Mesenchymal Stem Cell Media Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Azelaic Acid, Leontopodium Alpinum Root Extract, Sarcosine, Gluconolactone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Shea Butter Glycerides, Laminaria Ochroleuca Extract, Sodium Cocoyl Amino Acids, Coco Caprylate/Caprate, Nigella Sativa Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf, Panthenol, Allantoin, Lactic Acid, Curcuma Aromatica Root Oil, Sodium Citrate, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Potassium Aspartate, Menthol, Sodium Benzoate, Calcium Gluconate

CAUTION: Fibroblast Wound Serum is specifically formulated to accelerate wound healing (non-open wounds), reduce the appearance of new and older scars, and provide significant textural improvement in skin. It also has been shown to provide significant anti-aging properties in skin including wrinkle improvement, tonal improvement and enhanced skin clarity.

Sunburn alert: Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure, following post aesthetic treatments, and while using this product.
